If you are unsafe, or a child or an animal is locked in a vehicle, call 911 — emergency services will get to you. If you are safe but locked out late at night, try a neighbour or family member with a key, or your building superintendent or management line.
Then leave your number on this page. We call you at 8 AM, before the day’s bookings, so you are first in the queue rather than one of the morning’s new calls.
How our pricing works
We tell you the price on the phone before anyone is dispatched. What we do not do is advertise a very low figure to get a technician to your door and then present a different number once you have waited in the cold.
That practice is widespread enough in this trade to be worth naming. The pattern is a headline price that applies to almost nothing, a technician who arrives and cites unforeseen complications, and a final bill several times the quote. If a company will not commit to a figure on the phone, that is the reason.
What to tell us when you call
Where you are and whether anyone is in immediate danger. What has happened — locked out, broken in, lock failed, key snapped. What kind of door or vehicle, and for a car the year, make and model.
That last detail matters more than people expect on automotive calls, because it determines what blank and what equipment we bring. Thirty seconds on the phone can save a second trip.
When it is not actually an emergency
If nobody is locked out and nothing is insecure, a scheduled visit is often the better choice. A stiff lock, a worn key or a door that closes but sticks can usually be booked for a time that suits you.
We will tell you that on the phone rather than treating every call as urgent.

It depends on the job, the door or vehicle, and where you are in the GTA. We give you the figure on the phone before anyone is dispatched. Be wary of any operator who will not — the well-known pattern in this trade is a low advertised price followed by a much higher one quoted on your doorstep after you have already waited.
How quickly can you get here?
It depends on where you are and what is already in progress. We give a realistic window when you call, and we would rather tell you ninety minutes and arrive in seventy than promise twenty and leave you watching the street. If you are outside in winter, or with a child, tell us and we will prioritise.
